Our clients will be able to discount promissory notes in Catalonia more efficiently through our new branch.
The company continues to pursue its active territorial expansion policy. This has made us one of Spain’s leading providers of SME financing, specializing in the discounting of promissory notes and invoice advances.
The two branch offices we’ve already opened—following the recent announcement of the one in Andalusia and now the one in Catalonia—mark another step forward in our remarkable growth.
Above all, this will ensure the highest quality of service for our clients throughout Spain.
At the helm of the Catalonia branch is Josep Suñé (Manresa, 1962).
He has spent thirty years working in banking, spending much of his professional career at Caixa Manresa until it merged with Catalunya Caixa.
Subsequently, starting in 2016, he served as commercial director of a finance company in Manresa before joining Workcapital.
Suñé explains the reasons
“Catalonia has always been a region with a thriving business sector and a very strong industrial base, which generates significant activity in the areas of promissory notes and factoring.”
“There’s one sector—construction—that I believe, despite not having the same momentum as the industrial sector, is important because there’s a lot of activity in the construction field again, especially in the Barcelona metropolitan area and the towns that make up the city’s outer ring. In the rest of Catalonia, things are proving more challenging.”
“I think it’s more convenient to receive an advance payment against an invoice—provided the drawee agrees—than to have to wait for the drawee to issue a promissory note.”
“This way, we save time and move forward with the advance payment.”
“In reality, this speed in providing quick solutions to clients is what factoring always offers—I repeat, provided the drawee agrees.”
“Our greatest strength in opening this branch is our proximity to both potential and existing clients. We’re based in Terrassa, one of Catalonia’s most important cities, and very close to L’Hospitalet de Llobregat, Barcelona, and Badalona, so we cover almost the entire Catalan business landscape.”
“For this very reason, we can say that we can meet any need of any client who wants to discount promissory notes in Catalonia.”
“We also strive to provide a very personalized customer experience that can address any questions or concerns. Clients highly value having direct contact and being able to bring in their documentation in person, which saves us nearly a day in processing time. We work very hard to maintain this close relationship, providing top-tier service to our clients. Personal contact builds trust with the client.”
For Juan Carlos Grau, CEO of Workcapital, Catalonia is a market they can now serve much more effectively with Suñé’s arrival:
“There’s no doubt that we’re talking about the engine of Spain’s economy, and it’s essential to have a very powerful tool in the region, which this branch office will be.”
“We’re already in the market with our key strengths: customer service, speed in processing, and the utmost trust we provide.”
“For us, he is a very important asset because he knows the market very well thanks to his extensive experience in banking and his previous roles in the world of business and self-employed financing.”
“Our goal is to provide excellent service to Catalan business owners and self-employed professionals and to expand our presence.”
“We already had a very strong market share in Catalonia, but we’re confident that we’ll now significantly expand our operations through the direct service our branch will offer.”
