Workcapital Joins the Alliance for Childhood Vaccination
The “la Caixa” Foundation established this Alliance in 2008.
Workcapital has joined the Alliance for Child Vaccination to save the lives of millions of children who are exposed daily to serious diseases because they lack access to vaccines.
Childhood vaccination is one of the greatest global health challenges, and even more so in recent years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The “la Caixa” Foundationcreated this Alliance in 2008, together with“Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance,” launching an innovative corporate social responsibility initiative designed to enable companies to collaborate on this charitable project, ensuring that the full amount of their contributions goes toward vaccinating children.

The organization’s goal is to combat child mortality by facilitating children’s access to vaccinations and improving the healthcare systems of the world’s poorest countries.
Since its creation in 2000, Gavi has helped vaccinate more than 888 million children, thereby helping to prevent more than 15 million deaths.
Workcapital’s donation to the Alliance for Child Vaccination will be quadrupled thanks to the commitment of the “la Caixa” Foundation and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, thereby redoubling everyone’s efforts to ensure the health and growth of children.
The Barcelona Institute for Global Health (ISGlobal) is a scientific and academic partner of this Alliance.

Every contribution goes toward distributing vaccines in Mozambique and Ethiopia to prevent pneumonia, the leading cause of child mortality from infectious diseases worldwide. This Alliance has already helped vaccinate more than 8 million children under the age of 5, who will be able to lead longer, healthier, and more productive lives.
